@earl6282Your fingers never leave the keyboard with QS. If you're using the dock, your hands come off the keyboard to use the mouse. May not sound like a big deal, but over the course of an 8 hour day, the time adds up. It's more about efficiency than convenience.@margheritapizzaQS is more powerful and flexible. You can write plugins for it. It can send email and do math problems. It can open a web browser to a specific URL. All quicker and with fewer mouse and keystrokes.

This isnt the only feature...hotkeys are generally quicker than mouse movements.

I can't see how this isn't just a duplicate of spotlight? It runs with cmd + space. It searches for files and applications and allows you to run them.It learns from search history. This just serves the same purpose as built-in function

Launchy and Quicksilver are great but I never think to use them! My friends agree, they never think to use them.

Command+space -> begin typing "camino" -> hit enter. That's what you did to launch Camino. Now explain how that's more convenient than just having camino in the dock and clicking it.

Excellent video! In case anyone is wondering, a Windows/Linux equivalent of this would be "Launchy". |
